Cuba's Best Beaches

Cuba is known for its vast array of amazing beaches. Two of the most popular are the connected beaches of Playa Paraiso and Playa Sirena. These two boast of stretches of powdery sand along the Cayo Largo del Sur. These pristine beaches have relaxing and tranquil atmosphere that are far from the crowded ambience of other beaches. There is just one establishment on Playa Paraiso, which is a beachside restaurant.

If you're looking for something more upscale, head to Varadero, which is the prime beach resort destination in Cuba. This belongs to the top resorts in the entire Caribbean. It is packed with comfortable amenities and exciting activities that can provide you with your most memorable vacation. Located on a small island called Cayo Ensenachos are the Playa Ensenachos and Playa Mégano. These beaches are known for their crystalline waters and coral reefs teeming with fabulous underwater marine creatures. You would also want to visit Playa Ancón. It prides itself for having close proximity to Trinidad, one of Cuba's most prized treasures. Here, you will experience not only fun under the sun but also educational journey into the colonial history and culture of the place. Some tiny cays located off the north coast can also provide excellent beach experience. These beaches are called Cayos Coco and Guillermo. Here, you can enjoy unspoiled beaches, diving opportunities, and various kinds of watersports. Finally, Cayo Sabinal. This one is the perfect destination for those looking for a secluded getaway. With its stunning coral reefs and pristine beaches, it is a paradise that any eco-tourist will adore.

Best Beaches in Cuba

There are many beautiful beaches in Cuba, with fantastic blue water and long stretches of soft white sand.

Cayo Coco

Dominated by beaches and resorts, the Cuban island of Cayo Coco can be reached by plane or by causeway that links it to the rest of Cuba. From this causeway you will be treated to the sight of dolphins and large groups of flamingoes.

Cayo Largo del Sur

This quieter Cuban island is home to some beautiful beaches and live coral reefs, perfect for a spot of diving. The island is just 15 miles long and 2 miles wide. With many secluded beaches Cayo Largo del Sur is the perfect spot for weddings and honeymoons.

Varadero

With 20 kms of white sandy beaches, Varadero tends to be very busy during the summer season. The beaches here are considered to be among the best beaches in the world. In Varadero itself you will find restaurants, bars, nightclubs and fun amusement parks.

Isla de la Juventud

This Cuban island has beautiful beaches, including Playa Bibijagua and Playa Largo but the island is also great for scuba diving and cave exploration.

Holguin

Playa Esmeralda here in Holguin is probably my favourite beach of all. With emerald waters and perfect beaches this beach is the best known of all the beaches in Cuba.

Having spent many perfect holidays on the beautiful Caribbean island of Cuba, i have picked the beaches that i personally like the best.

Cuba is the perfect destination for family holidays as there is something for everyone to do and see on this idyllic island.
