Nightlife in Prague

A city filled with palaces and churches in what Prague offers to visitors. Its popularity as a tourist destination is as strong as ever and gives people to experience the splendour of magnificent architecture. However, Prague is not all about architecture and a holiday in Prague city is guaranteed to be an adventure worth experiencing, as one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe.

The nightlife in Prague is not on the same level as one might find in Paris or London, but it does have its share of pomp and circumstance.

Clubbing in Prague has a flavor of its own. In many places, it makes no difference what you wear as there is no strict dress code. The Lucerna music bar, for example, is frequented by a relaxed local crowd with a fondness for music from the 80s and 90s. The dress code is casual and the locals are warm, friendly, and enthusiastic.

You will find that beer is drunk morning, noon and night, and that Czech beers are among the best and cheapest in the world. Brands to look out for include Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus, Staropramen and Budweiser (Budvar). The average wage for bar staff is 50Kč an hour, so please, after having your drinks and your fun, show some appreciation with a decent tip.

Prague's nightlife is all encompassing. Prague clubs spin their tunes from dusk 'til dawn, so whether you're into serious clubbing or just a late drink and a quick dance, Prague is a good night out for one and all.

For some shopping visitors can check out the Big Ben which is an English language bookshop. Fiction, reference books on Prague, travel books, children's books, poetry and bestsellers the selection is limitless. For a fix of the news this shop also sells English newspapers and magazines. Ladies might like to visit Belda and Co which creates masterpieces in gold and silver with their uniquely designed jewelry.
