Holidays Breaks in Abu Dhabi

holidays in Abu Dhabi, in the Far East, is a very modern city with plenty of attractions to explore. If you arrive in Abu Dhabi airport you will be amazed at the decor inside. It is very glitzy and truly amazing. When you reach the city you must go to the automobile museum it is a must for all the family. It houses the world's largest mobile home and has an extraordinary amount of military vehicles. For those tourists looking for an insight into the history and culture of this amazing city then take an excursion out to the Heritage Village. There you will be able to experience some of the traditional shows like falconry and the art of camel riding.

The desert is a spectacular destination for the tourists. Sand skis, camel rides, four wheel drives amidst the majestic red dunes and stark mountains offer the ultimate desert experience. The oasis in the desert is a great place to stay and the journey through the desert also offers an opportunity of meeting the Bedu folk or the nomadic tribes who are very hospitable. Watching the camel races at dawn is a great way to spend the day.

Dubai has made a real effort in recent years to promote itself as a luxury holiday destination. It has spent billions of dollars putting the infrastructure in place to position itself as one of the best holiday destinations in the world. As part of that process Dubai has built some of the most luxurious holiday villas and self catering holiday apartments to be found any where in the world.

There are more than enough shopping opportunities in this city with many shopping malls selling everything from gems to designer fashion. You will not be short of things to spend your money on and the colourful Souk is a very authentic shopping experience where you can purchase gifts and souvenirs locally made by skilled craftsmen. It has alleyways and small shops tucked away in every corner, it is very charming.

Not to miss the Burj-al -Arab, which is the most luxurious hotel in the world. You will need to book a meal there, otherwise you can't just visit it. But I think it is worth the experience. This is not my style though and I would happily stay at the neighbor hotel, i.e. Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

You will not be able to escape shopping. Although I wasn't there during the shopping festival, I made a lot of purchases. Most notably, watches and jewelry have good prices all year round, so I bought a nice Tag Heuer one third cheaper than regular prices in other places.
